OSHA 126.201 Signs, Signals, and Barricades, commonly known as a Flagger, is a training class for those who control traffic, manage safety barriers, and perform signal functions. This class focuses on traffic control and driver/flagger safety.
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Safety Standards for Signs, Signals, and Barricades and the Construction Safety Orders, Flaggers are required at locations on a construction site where barricades and warning signs cannot control the moving traffic.
Flagger signaling and use, including warning garments, shall conform to Part 6 of the MUTCD. The flagger shall wear reflective pants, a vest, shirt, jacket, or other approved garments, such as jumpsuits.
